Exciting opportunity for a Change Manager with Gas and / or Power Trading experience for a Power Transformation Programme in this global Energy company.

This is an exciting time to be joining this world-leading company as they transform themselves from a traditional Oil & Gas company into a leading name within the Renewables sector.

This includes the creation of an already highly successful new Power Tradingdesk within the Energy Trading team as well as new ventures into various innovative solutions around the supply of Renewables including wind farms, electric vehicle charging, solar panel heating and battery storage.

These innovative solutions provide opportunitiesfor exceptionally highly talented individuals to contribute to the success of this transition where you will be working with some of the best people in the industry working on new and ground-breaking initiatives utilising the very latest technology.

Background

The team have embarked on a significant change programme, looking to improve the systems and processes for Energy Trading in the UK and Europe.

They are looking for a talented Business Change Manager to join the Power Transformation Programme team to supportthe Power Operations business area with their large-scale business change aspirations to create a world class and fit for purpose Power (Electricity) business processes, enabling a significant scaling up of the business in line with growth ambitions.


  • An experienced Change Manager with Gas and / or Power Trading experience.
  • Someone who has led change and communication activities on a programme of organisation change and / or complex IT transformation.
  • Must be someone who has worked at the level where the impact of the change is taking place directly with end users.
  • Must be able to put journey plans in place, set communication strategy, deliver comms plan, assess training needs of workforce, sense impact of business change.
  • Able to document processes and capture change impact.
  • Experience with an Endur implementation is a welcome bonus.
Key skills and experience

  • A good understanding of energy trading and deal lifecycle for Power contracts and all Power asset types within both the UK and Europe.
  • Proven track record in successfully designing processes and facilitating process design workshops within the European Power asset and supply area
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate business change, ideally within the Power Operations area
  • Ability to build best in class business solutions (based on a variety of SME input) and align these back with the business
  • Ideally experienced in standard process modelling notations like BPMN 2.0
  • Improvement mindset essential, with proven track record in project delivery
  • Experience in deploying new technologies is preferred (i.e. ETRM systems)
  • Communication planning and strategies

  • Change journey plans / roadmaps
  • Organization design and consultation
