What is the role of a Control Centre Operative?
To operate and monitor a variety of systems, including CCTV, vehicle tracking and ATM lock management functions within the Control Centre acting in a professional and efficient manner at all times and to ensure integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of all information gained in compliance with strict operating procedures


What will I be doing as a Control Centre Operative?

  • Using bespoke IT software to facilitate the secure function of all inhouse CViT vehicles.
  • To carry out comprehensive monitoring of CViT vehicle movements using GPS tracking and onboard vehicle CCTV.
  • To carry out regular remote CCTV patrols of the national CViT depot estate to ensure the safety and security of colleagues and escalation of security related incidents or emergencies.
  • Efficiently deal with a large volume of calls from remote workers in order to facilitate ATM safe access in line with strict policy, process and procedure using lock management systems.
  • To develop the appropriate skill levels and maintain relevant skill set in line with business requirements.
  • Being conversant with the layout of the business area in which you are viewing constantly aware of current threats and challenges faced by the business.

What would I need to succeed in the Control Centre Operative role?

  • A sound awareness of surroundings and acting on suspicions.
  • Knowledge of CViT industry and working to business procedures.
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of CCTV systems.
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of a fast paced business.
  • Comfortable working for long hours within a confined control room environment.
