Budmouth Academy is a large 11-18 academy, the school overlooks the Jurassic coast and is set in a beautiful part of the country.

Budmouth Academy is a member of the Aspirations Academies Trust.

We are looking for a Head of Outdoor Education and Expeditions, this is a unique and exciting new role within Budmouth Academy.

This post would particularly suit teachers with outdoor education and/or a military background or interest. We also strongly welcome applicants with a background in teaching Geography and Science.

We would also offer a significant number of extra periods off timetable for you to be able to fulfil the needs of the role.

If you are an enthusiastic outdoor educator who is eager to lead a vibrant program then this is your opportunity.

The Head of Outdoor Education and Expeditions will have the vision and determination to develop and execute our outdoor education and expeditions programs, ensuring they are safe, stimulating and motivating for our students.

You will have the opportunity to define various outdoor experiences which will contribute to the holistic education of our students.

Working weekends is likely to be a key part of this role, however flexibility can be offered in respect to time used to compensate for this.

This post would suit an ECT or a teacher of experience, and as your professional development is important to us, we offer a comprehensive package of CPD opportunities, including nationally recognised qualifications that suit all types of career progression.
