Junior Merchandiser (Fixed Term 9 Months)

We have an exciting opportunity within the Merchandising team, to fulfill a Junior Merchandiser position for a 9-month fixed-term period.

Role Responsibilities

• Create department product strategy in line with overall company strategy and implement it successfully.
• Develop weekly phased plans by channel and category for sales, margin, stock, and markdown.
• Create a range plan that satisfies strategic channel, financial, and space requirements.
• Work closely with the team to develop and select a balanced and commercial range that delivers the product strategy.
• Plan seasonal pricing and promotional activity together with Buyer and implement a supply chain strategy.
• Review and re-forecast trading proposals to maximise profitability while maintaining efficient controls of stock.
• Manage stock availability to ensure maximum profitability and meet launch dates.
• Direct the allocation, replenishment, and branch merchandising function to potentialise stocks and store performance.
• Input into cross-functional activity as required.

Key Competencies

• Thorough understanding of all merchandising principles and systems.
• Understanding of critical path and product life cycle.
• Comprehensive understanding of customer profile, product range, and competitors.
• Use of CIMS, Excel, and QA systems.

• Brand Integrity – product in line with Brand identity.
• Company integrity - relationship with externals.
• Financial – ensure profitability of category within Stores and Direct channels.
• Stock – maximising profitability and availability.
