MAIN PURPOSE
To learn all aspects of the accounts department. Training is structured, so that you will learn each function within the department.


Key personal aspects:


  • Flexible and organised approach to your duties.

  • Team player.
  • Be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using Business Central is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided.
  • Payroll experience is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Credit Controller in all aspects of the sales ledger. This will involve liaising with customers to resolve issues
  • Work closely with the Purchase Ledger Supervisor to have a good understanding of all their duties and responsibilities
  • Process invoices and reconcile supplier statements
  • Send out invoices and statements to customers.
  • Development of additional finance reports to assist the development of the business
  • Setting up new customer and supplier accounts on our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Business Central.
  • Archiving of all data and paperwork
  • Collating invoices for external and internal audits
  • Answer incoming telephone calls
  • Covering payroll when required
  • Any other duties to assist the smooth operation of the accounts department


As your training progresses and you gain a better understanding of the functions within the accounts department you will be given more responsibilities.


GENERAL


We have a small accounts team, and it is therefore essential that all members of the team are prepared to help each other in times of need.

This does mean that a flexible attitude to the duties to be carried out is essential.
