We are currently seeking a
Training Coordinator (Motor Vehicles) to join The Bedford College Group at our Bedford Campus.

  • This role is to empower apprentices by providing support in the workplace, fostering skill development, and ensuring successful completion of their apprenticeship_
As a
Training Coordinator you play an important role in the success of our students through:


  • Assessment and Support: As part of the delivery team, ensuring learners receive appropriate induction, training, assessment, and ongoing support throughout their program as well as identifying any additional learning needs and providing necessary referrals.

Pathway Guidance: Collaborating with employers and apprentices to guide them toward suitable pathway options based on their job roles and business requirements.

Quality Assurance: Leading the induction process during the first 6 weeks to ensure a high-quality initial experience as well as Regularly assessing and reviewing apprentices' progress, provide qualitative feedback.

Compliance and Records: Ensure compliance with awarding body requirements, track progress toward completion of all components, and manage 20% off-the-job training time.

Professional Development: Engage in team collaboration, share best practices, and contribute to curriculum development.

  • Currently teaching, assessing or tutoring
  • Providing a highquality learning experience for all students
  • Providing a high performance in previous roles/jobs
  • Working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and promoting DEI within the role.
  • Working constructively to achieve team objectives and deadlines
  • Raising student retention and achievement rates
  • Knowledge of curriculum models

Qualifications

  • Certificate in Education or equivalent.
  • Minimum level 3 qualification in a relevant motor vehicle discipline.
  • English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one year

About The Bedford College Group

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.


Today, the Group is made up of a family of colleges across Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire: Bedford College, Central Bedfordshire College and Tresham College in the towns of Bedford, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough; Shuttleworth College, a specialist land-based college; The Bedford Sixth Form, (the only dedicated sixth form in Bedford); The Corby Sixth Form, (opened in September 2023); and the National College for Motorsport alongside Silverstone race circuit.
