We are looking for a
Test Data Management (TDM) Engineer with practical working experience in Test Data Management, Quality Assurance and Environment Management within Enterprise Organisations.

A natural who can motivate and influence peopleacross business and technology domains, whilst turning test data requirements into automated secure data provisioning solutions.

Your primary focus is to implement, support and scale Virgin Money's Enterprise Test Data Management solution Delphix.


Day to day you'll:


Operate as part of the Data as a Service (DaaS) Center of Excellence (CoE), supporting and managing the enterprise-wide implementation and adoption of Test Data Management (TDM) practices and toolsets.

Collaborating with the Engineering and Project areaswithin Change and Delivery to design and build solutions to provision data across our non production environments.

Ensuring update to date, secure, production like data environments in which to test our technology solutions.


Working hand in hand with the Technical Product Owner in contributing to the TDM strategy and framework employed across the bank, providing governance and innovation on test data management approaches and techniques.

You will be responsible for executingthe implementation of TDM requirements, developing solutions for various strategic projects and facilitating Tribe and Squad autonomy through the creation of reusable TDM assets and datasets making them accessible to end-users via Self-Service capabilities.


You will work with the Senior TDM Specialist & Product Owner to set and enforce TDM Standards consistent throughout the bank ensuring greater agility to scale and compliance.

Finally, you will ensure the centralisation of data provisioning and automation(datadevops) enables quick onboarding of new test environments and provides scope for more flexible route to live maximising speed to market.


To be successful you'll need to bring

  • Experience working in Technology.
  • Experience working in the development lifecycle.
  • An understanding of Test Data Management principles.
  • Knowledge of data privacy rules and regulations.
  • Understanding of testing requirements (functional and non functional) and how they translate into Test Environment requirements.
  • Good problem solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills working with multiple stakeholders across tribe, squad and departments.
  • Enthusiasm with a willingness to learn and be involved in new things.

The following would be not essential:

  • Experience with test data management tool(s) & techniques.
  • Experience working with proprietary and opensource databases, including SQL & Oracle.
  • Knowledge of agile testing frameworks including Test-Driven Development, Behaviour Driven Development and Scrum in an agile environment.
  • Demonstratable experience of working in commercial agile environments including continuous integration, test automation, automated software releases, cloud environment experience highly desirable.
