What's the purpose of role:


As part of a fast-paced retail team, the Bar Design Administrator plays a pivotal role in over-arching merchandising processes for the organisation.

The role ensures the accurate design of the overall design of the loading specifications of the inflight retail product, working to the space capacity assigned to optimise sales and minimise wastage.

Administration of the bar design process is key, with this role assuming responsibility for all master data management within the retail systems and processing of the packing instructions into the retail back office system for the operational teams to follow.

Airlines Key Contacts, including cabin crew, ground staff


What you'll be doing:


The Bar Design Administrator will play a key role in developing and design bar planograms for the effective packing and loading of bar-sets and full data maintenance of the Inflight Retail back office systems.

The responsibilities will include;

  • Bar Design_
  • Develop and deliver Planograms for inflight retail products with an emphasis on sales optimisation, waste minimisation, space, weight and balance.
  • Monitor the planograms weekly via load vs sold reporting and amend to maximise sales and optimise loading by product and set up plans on the Vector Retail Back Office System.
  • Develop range presentation and packing exercises, representative of the products and services utilised and the expected sales levels.
  • Communicated with all key stakeholders packing plan and bar design changes to ensure critical paths are adhered to.
  • Manage and deliver any bespoke or adhoc bar design requirements according to airline customer briefs.
  • Deliver service improvement recommendations relating to bar design, based on trend, feedback and data analysis.
  • Administer all bar planograms accurately onto the Vector Back Office System for the operational teams to follow and utilise for accurate despatch of barsets to aircraft, maintaining version control, history of changes.
  • Effectively manage the exit strategies for products through effective bar design process.


  • Retail System

  • Master Data ownership_
  • Maintain all applicable system data, relating products, cost prices, retail prices, weights and promotional requirements.
  • Perform weekly audit process for accuracy of data.
  • Report changes to master data to the applicable stakeholders across retail, finance, supply chain and merchandising.
