Job description


Are you an experienced and qualified building surveyor?
Are you able to identify building defects and advise on remedial works?

Do you have expertise in relation to design, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment projects within the residential housing field?

Do you have excellent contract management skills?

Do you have experience of running large, planned maintenance programmes via frameworks?

Can you positively engage with both contractors and our tenants to run successful schemes delivering quality bathrooms, kitchens, new roofs, doors, and windows on time and on budget?

Are you interested or experienced in delivering greener housing schemes such as Air Source Heat Pumps and whole home retrofit to raise our EPC ratings and reduce carbon emissions?

New Forest District Council is the largest housing provider in the District with over 5,100 Council dwellings made up of houses, flats, hostels and schemes providing extra care.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planned Maintenance Surveyor to join our team which delivers a comprehensive range of planned and project work worth £7m each year.


This is a key role within the service as we work toward meeting new 'Greener Housing' targets and our enhanced Asset Management responsibilities.

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of contract duties on Planned and Cyclical Maintenance and Capital refurbishment projects to housing properties in the role of Planned Maintenance Surveyor.
