Senior Management Accountant, £40-50K, Harrogate location
Do you have a strong management accounts background and are looking to take your skills to
the next level? If so, this could be the perfect role for you.

Located in the Harrogate area the role is with a client within the media sector.


Skills and Experience Required:
-

  • ACMA/ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Logical thinker, strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • A selfstarter, ability to take the initiative, make independent decisions
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Be able to demonstrate some experience of delivering process improvement and simplification initiatives

Key Duties:


  • To produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts packs
  • Working with other business partners to drive accurate monthly accounts and provide commercial support and analysis.
  • Responsibility for reporting, investigating, and explaining financial variances, best practices and opportunities for cost savings
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, reviews, and management of provisions
  • Managing the fixed assets register.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Assisting with insurance and tax management
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new processes to improve financial controls
  • Work with third parties to identify and implement improved controls within their finance software.
  • Deputising for the Head of Finance
