Description

A wide ranging Mechanical Design Engineer position, in this role you will be responsible for the design and management of Mechanical services for all construction projects across a variety of schemes within the Yorkshire region and beyond.

You will be joining a true multi-disciplinary practice that is incredibly successful at winning work on a multi-d basis.

As such, a lot of the conflict and communication issues that typically arise with projects are avoid due to it being one team on the job.

Your role will be to design and mange all aspects of Mechanical Services including cost estimates, drawing and specification production, tender documentation and management of the tender process through to completion.

In terms of projects, you will be involved with a range of schemes focusing on non-domestic works including commercial, industrial education and also public buildings such as libraries, art galleries and leisure centres.

To be successful in the post you must have a degree or similar qualification within mechanical building services engineering, be actively working towards Chartership, have worked within the design department of a consultancy, end user or local authority.

Youwill also need to hold a driving licence while naturally it is expected that you will have a minimum of three years experience of working as a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer and be confident in the use of either IES, Hevacomp or Revit.
