To support the Management Coordinator in the provision of a high quality administrative/secretarial support to the whole Oncology Day Units function to enable the efficient running of the day units.
To support the Management Coordinator in the provision of a high quality administrative/secretarial support to the whole Oncology Day Units function to enable the efficient running of the day units.
To provide a reception service, acting as first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, visitors and other healthcare professionals.
To support the ODU Manager/Sister and ensure the smooth daily running of the clinical area.
To assist in the setting up and maintenance of the patient database.
To schedule patient's treatment on Chemocare and defer when required as advised by clinical team.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England.

Collate information and share where appropriate.
Maintenance of Spreadsheets and patient databases
Collate information and Bring Forwards for Directors
Keeping up-to-date waiting lists
Responding to all ad-hoc requests when required
Provide administrative support to the Oncology Day units.
Main point of contact for patient and third parties (eg other clinicians, GP, police, social care, legal) to resolve queries, respond to requests for information or notify third party of information as required by clinicians.
