Contract:
Temporary to permanent


Location:
Scarborough Hospital

Hours:
Full time working various hours and days - flexibility is needed
Mon to Fri - £11.14ph

Nights/Overtime/Saturdays:
£16.04ph


Sundays/Bank hols:
£20.94ph

GI Group Scarborough are proud to be representing the NHS. We are recruiting for a Facilities Supervisor to work at Scarborough Hospital. This is for immediate start

Key Duties

  • Responsible for creating and amended work plans when required.
  • To ensure all staff receive an annual appraisal, time sheets are completed as well as recording and authorising annual leave.
  • Arrange training of new and existing Facilities members of staff on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for all initial level HR related issues for direct reporting staff.
  • Ensuring the daytoday delivery of the Facilities Functions across the site.
  • Ensure all staff are wearing the correct PPE.
  • Ensuring standards are met by the Facilities Manager are maintained.
  • Responsible for carrying out departmental rotas and ensuring all shifts are covered.
Key Skills

  • Good communication skills verbal and written
  • Computer literate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good interpersonal skills Good organisational skills Good time management Able to work under pressure
  • Able to carry out physical tasks including the use of industrial machinery.
  • Ability to prioritise own and others workloads Ability to use initiative
  • Ability to delegate effectively
  • Handle numerous diverse tasks simultaneously
Basic knowledge of or be willing to complete appropriate training and qualifications in:

  • Cleaning procedures
  • COSSH Procedures
  • Infection prevention and control


  • Food Hygiene level

  • Relevant water systems training
  • Regeneration ovens, dishwasher and floor machinery training.
