The Bereavement Services Team based at Chesterfield and District Crematorium is looking to recruit an
Apprentice: Horticulture or landscape construction operative - level 2.
  • The apprentice will assist in the ground's maintenance of the Crematorium and four Cemeteries based at Boythorpe, Brimington, Spital and Staveley.

Based at Chesterfield and District Crematorium, you will assist in the maintenance of the tranquil award winning grounds. You will also work in the Council's four very interesting Cemeteries, keeping the spaces clean and tidy. You will alternate between two small, friendly teams working outdoors in all seasons.

Opportunities will also be available to learn about other interesting aspects of the service including ceremonial, front of house, technical and administrative.

We aim to deliver a professional and caring service through our competent trained staff as it is important that funerals are conducted in dignified and tidy surroundings.
