Description
Applications are invited for 2 Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologists to join the team at East Cheshire NHS Trust.

We are 6 full time consultants. There are 2 full-time posts, out of which one is a replacement post and another a new post.

We are looking for special interest in colposcopy and urogynaecology based primarily within the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department at Macclesfield Hospital.

However, due to current constraints of covid-19 our inpatient and birth care is currently provided in our host sites at Mid Cheshire Foundation Trust (Leighton), Manchester University Foundation Trust (Wythenshawe) and Stockport Foundation Trust (Stepping Hill).

When our inpatient maternity services return (June 2023) we will be returning full obstetric and midwifery led services to all women in East Cheshire working with the maternity transformation agenda.

East Cheshire NHS Trust is headquartered in Macclesfield on the edge of the stunning Peak District National Park. Surrounded by outstanding countryside and beautiful towns and villages, Macclesfield is a superb place to live and work.

The Trust provides a comprehensive range of acute and community based services and is committed to providing the best quality care in the right place.

To achieve this aim we need enthusiastic and dedicated staff who are united by common values and behaviours.

The post holder will be supported by a junior doctor and a middle grade doctor.

This is a 10 PA job plan allowing the post holder to deliver approximately 8 PA's of direct clinical care and 2 SPA's.

There is a hot week system when the post holder will be resident 9-5pm Monday to Friday and 9-12pm on Sat/Sun.

Non-resident on call is 5pm-9am on a 1:6 basis, thus allowing for meaningful consultant workload and role.

If you have lived or worked abroad for 6 months or more in the last 5 years you will need to obtain an overseas police clearance.

Further information can be found on the additional information links at the bottom of the advert.
