The Opportunity

Finatal are currently partnering with a high-calibre CFO who is at the helm of private equity backed business that has undergone substantial growth in the last 12 months.

The role has come about due to this; the strategy has been highly geared towards abuy & build focus, expanding geographically alongside a strong organic play.

The role with have full autonomy of the finance function, creating a best in class controls environment alongside establishing a cash focused culture with strong cash management and working capital improvements.

Coupled with this, there will be a focus onbuilding out a commercial function and supporting the CFO with ad-hoc projects including integration, actionable insights and analytics around utilizing data and best in class Board packs and management information.

The Role

As the Group Finance Director, you'll contribute to the finance team management, upskilling, mentoring and hiring where appropriate and this responsibility will be particularly important as the business grows.
Scale the FP&A function to provide best in class private equity reporting including accurately and timely management reporting and information.
Create a cash focused culture looking at working capital improvements as well as stringent cash flow forecasting and management. Additionally, covenant and debt reporting are paramount.
Further develop a strong and stable finance team, making improvements and ensuring the function is operating to the highest possible standard.
Partner with the business to deliver timely and insightful analysis to support strategic decision making, working closely with the CFO on the ongoing strategy of the business as it scales.

The Requirements

An experienced FD/HoF/GFC
ACA Qualified or equivalent (likely Big 4 trained), with strong academics.
Experience building a bestinclass finance function in a growing business, with demonstrable leadership skills and experience managing a team of 10+ FTEs.
Previously worked in a produce/ multiple components based business.
Previously been in a cash focused environment with an ability to work under pressure in a highchange environment.
