Role overview:


The role is to support our UK Procurement user community with "How to" queries from a newly implemented SAP Ariba Network system and assist Making Finance Brilliant Programme create FAQs and User Guides documents aimed at reducing the number of calls raisedto the SAP Ariba Network Helpdesk.


The role is important because the programme is replacing a large part of our Finance systems estate, including the introduction of SAP 4/Hana and Ariba network.

In order to move our suppliers from our old systems to new, we need to ensure we support oursuppliers and stakeholders with this change.


The Ariba Network Support Analyst may interface with technical implementation teams which include Application Developers, System Integrators, Database Administrators, System Administrators, and Ariba Consultants.


  • Respond to requests and queries from customers using Ariba products while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in assigned areas of product functionality and utilise it effectively to help customers.
  • Handle user accounts and manage roles
  • Research, document, and escalate cases according to procedure.
  • Supporting suppliers with the transition forwarding training materials, directing to supplier portal
  • Work closely with customers and System Integrator Team on escalated critical issues and ensure they are resolved in the most timely and effective manner possible.
  • Share Knowledge and expertise with other members of the Team
  • Customer driven feedback to functional areas in order to influence process/product improvements.
  • Actively participate in job related training.
  • Capture known errors and write workaround procedures.
  • Author technical documents on common issues and solutions in order to build the knowledge base.
  • Create Userguides and FAQs material
  • Develop strong working relationships with other teams across Ariba.

You need to have organisational and troubleshooting skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, constructively engaging with team (written and verbal).
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel & Word)
  • Able to work at pace, producing accurate quality deliverables on time.
  • Supporting Team Leads and Subject Matter Experts in working across business change management, communications, systems and data.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of
  • E-Procurement systems

Desired but not essential:


  • Finance change experiences (systems and process), Enterprise scale, ideally SAP/HANA.
