Senior Data Engineer

Azure Consultancy

Hybrid Work Model

Permanent

£60,000-£80,000


My client are a leading Azure Consultancy that focus helping clients in 4 core areas; Integration, Application Development, Cloud Managed Services and Cloud Infrastructure Services.

The team is looking to expand rapidly over the next 12 months and hiring fora seasoned Senior Data Engineer is essential in their plans.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Event Hubs, Azure Functions, Logic Apps etc
  • Create and manage Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL Data Warehouse
  • Implement data governance and security best practices
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide solutions
  • Optimize data pipeline performance and scalability
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues
  • Keep uptodate with the latest Azure data technologies and industry trends

Qualifications:


  • Strong experience with Azure data services, including Data Factory, Stream Analytics, and Event Hubs, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, APIs
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL Data Warehouse
  • Strong understanding of data governance and security best practices
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing and ETL design
  • Strong experience with programming languages such as Python or C#
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with Power BI is a plus
  • Azure certification is a plus
