CNC Setter and Operator (milling) £14.90ph plus benefits

Key Responsibilities
- setting/operating and manufacturing a variety of small-batch components from engineering drawings within tight limits
- manufacturing all components within the agreed timescales
- setting a variety of CNC machine tools for operators as and when required

  • Responsible for using a wide range of measuring equipment to check smallbatch components after manufacture
- mentoring new staff as required
- maintaining the agreed quality rating at all times
- making sure that the manufactured product is suitably protected for transit
- working in the order of the manufacturing plan at all times

  • Responsible for making sure that all manufacturing paperwork is filled out correctly
- carrying out all tasks allocated by the Team Leader in a timely and efficient manner

  • Responsible for ensuring that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times
- support team members with other tasks as and when required


Experience and Skills Needed for this role

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC Milling experience
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, set CNC Milling machines, and use measuring equipment
  • Ability to edit programs
  • Understanding of Metric and Imperial
  • Computer literate and methodical
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
