Are you looking for an English ECT role where you can begin or complete your induction? Do you want to work at a dynamic, progressive secondary school in South Birmingham?


We are looking for an English ECT to join a superb school in the Birmingham ward of Northfield, from September 2023.

** £28,000 per annum


The English ECT Role:


As an English ECT, you will be joining a large, diverse English department who are focussed on improving pupil outcomes and providing a creative, engaging education.

You will be teaching students in Key Stages 3 and 4, following the national curriculum up to GCSE level.

As an English ECT, you will monitor pupil progress and implement intervention strategies where necessary, utilising support staff where required.

You will be expected to engage in all aspects of school life and uphold the school's ethos at all times.


The English ECT:


To be eligible for this English ECT role, you must be expecting to receive QTS this year, or have recently qualified and are looking to complete the rest of your induction from September.

The school are looking for an English ECT with excellent curriculum knowledge, strong lesson planning skills, firm behaviour management strategies and a deep understanding of a range of SEN and how to account for these additional needs in your teaching.

You must be an English ECT with a strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
