Reed are currently recruiting a Innovation & Product Development Manager for their client based in Northfleet, Kent.

£50,000 - £60,000pa full time M - F 8am till 5pm

You will support in the delivery of the company's commercial objectives and business strategy with a particular focus on Product Development (both Innovation and EPD/NPD) strategy and activity.

Responsibilities will focus on the management of the ProductDevelopment team, leading product innovation strategy and ownership of the EPD/NPD process and critical path, which supports both internal and customer-focused activities.

Main duties

Work with the wider Commercial team to further develop and deliver commercial objectives and business strategy across different territories, channels and product categories.
Management of the product development team; 1 direct report (team of 45)
Ownership of new Innovation strategy including process, tools and projects ensuring strong internal communication.
Establish and manage strong Product Development working relationships with all customers to include the delivery of daytoday workstreams such as range tenders, reviews and NPD briefs.
Be recognised as the Product Development champion ensuring minimum 3 days per week office/customer attendance required

Who they are looking for Good experience in Senior or Head of Product Development/Food Innovation role (ideally 5+ years).

Experience in managing a Product development function and innovation process from idea conception to industrialisation.
Strategic longer term thinking.
Project and process management.
