My client is looking for a Court of Protection Accounts Assistant to join their wider Mental Capacity team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody looking to take a step into an administrative role within a supportive legal environment, where you will play a part in a team making a real impact in their client's lives.

Our Court of Protection Accounts team work closely with vulnerable clients who are unable to manage their own affairs. This is a permanent full time role, Monday to Friday.


Key Responsibilities:


  • To work with the Unit Leader and others within the wider Mental Capacity team to offer support to the client base on all matters related to financial functions.
  • Processing of all payments relating to the current case load in line with agreed terms and conditions and managing any queries that arise
  • To support the team with the administration of costing files to the Senior Courts Costs Office, liaising with costs draftsman and the Court and keeping good records of timescales for bills to be returned
  • Weekly bank reconciliations to ensure payments are allocated correctly and to report on cashflow
  • Opening accounts as appropriate in the individuals name
  • Filling out forms such as direct debits completion, letters to suppliers and ad hoc data entry.
  • Ensure appropriate quality service and compliance for all matters in accordance with agreed standard policies

Essential Experience / Qualifications and Attributes Required:

  • Knowledge and experience of accounts processes and running individual budgets for varied clients.
  • Excel and Word office skills
  • The ability to manage own workload, and effectively manage processes through excellent working relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing numerical data
  • Strong organisational skills, producing accurate work efficiently.
  • A flexible and enthusiastic approach and the capability to work well and flourish within a team environment
  • Excellent all round communication skills including the capability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with other colleagues within the wider team and across all practice areas.

Salary:
Up to £22,000.00 per year
