Description

An Advanced Specialist Healthcare Science Practitioner (ASHSP) is a Masters level and board certified professional that will serve as an allied health practitioner with specialization in all areas of Nuclear Medicine.


The ASHSP will work under the supervision of a licensed physician and serve as an adjunct between the physician and other health care professionals to enhance patient care in the diagnostic imaging and radiology environments.


The ASHSP performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, guiding principles and RCR service standards within the scope of an ASHSP practice.

The ASHSP has advanced training in imaging procedures with specialization in radiation safety, general nuclear medicine, SPECT, nuclear cardiology, and radiology and all associated radiopharmaceuticals and adjunct pharmaceuticals therein.


A focus of the role will be to expand the effectiveness of the nuclear medicine department with expert insight into the training and development of advanced practise.
