About us
The Care and Fun Club is a small charity based at the Blythe Centre in Blythe Bridge, Staffordshire.

We are a compassionate organisation, that operates extended library services by working in partnership to run a wide variety of services and our goal is to support the community of Blythe Bridge and its surrounding areas to thrive.


Our work environment includes:

  • Flexible hours

  • Monday fixed delivery / office day 46 hours
  • Occasional Saturday / evening availability for events, with time off in the week
Our organisation is looking for a Community Liaison to join our team. Initially for 12 month with the option to extend a further 12months.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure delivery of some of our current services, including parent/toddler sessions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, organisations, schools, groups and other stakeholders.
  • Organise and coordinate community events and activities.
  • Act as a liaison between the community and the organisation.
  • Identify potential sources of funding for community projects.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage the community in the organization's mission.
  • Provide information to the public about the organisation's programs and services.
  • Facilitate dialogue between stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
  • Support the volunteers to ensure effective and consistent communication.
  • Undertake training in library services, to support and understand Blythe Centre / Staffordshire County Community Managed Library and how they meet the objectives of the charity, provide occasional library / services as needed.

Job Types:
Part-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months

Part-time hours: 16 per week


Salary:
£10.76-£10.90 per hour

  • GCSE or equivalent (required)

Experience:

- working with young people: 1 year (required)


Licence/Certification:

  • Registered DBS or willing to undertake (required)
