THE ROLE.


We're looking for an Earned Creative Strategist (mid-weight) to join our growing agency and create standout work that will excite & inspire our clients, our team, our consumer and corporate audiences and the wider creative world.


Working with the Executive Creative Director & Head of Strategy, you'll be the bridge between the thinking and the ideas that makes stellar work.

As the client-facing front line of creative and strategy, this role is incredibly varied.

You'll spot insights, create strategic narratives, generate ideas, spot them in others, harness it in all of us, inspire our clients with sharp thinking and solid counsel, and lead on the execution of brilliant work from the agency.


You will work across a diverse portfolio of clients, from personal finance to wellness tech to luxury spirits, continuing to help us grow our creative and strategic offering globally.


For this role, you will need to demonstrate that you have your finger on the pulse culturally and that you understand what makes great Earned creative, proven through your experience working within an agency context.


In addition, you need to be able to show your strategic smarts by showing how and why your ideas work, creating watertight strategic narratives and rationales which prove why your ideas are right for the brief and the brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.

Be a creative strategy dynamo

Bridge the gap between the strategic imperative and the creative articulation and execution by:

  • Identifying and working with insights to develop robust strategy
  • Defining clear, incisive and singleminded strategic approaches
  • Leading idea generation on client projects and pitches
  • Thinking 'through the line'; coming up with the big Earned idea that naturally plays to influencer, social and editorial channels, while having the ability to go further
  • Being culturally switched on to deliver ideas that land with impact in the Earned space
  • Creating new ways of thinking when approaching client briefs and brand challenges
  • Creating ways to tackle briefs and come up with awardwinning campaigns for clients and for Havas Red
  • Seeing your ideas through from start to finish, from concepting to executional detail, ensuring they are client ready
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of the creative production process with proven experience.
  • Organising and running ideation with the wider team.
Be the wow factor for clients

  • Be clientfacing; the first port of call for their creative and strategic needs
  • Build relationships with clients to foster trust and camaraderie
  • Understands the clients needs to ensure we can respond to Earned briefs, from tactical press office right through to showstopping, national and global campaigns
  • Take ownership of projects and work with your client teams to deliver work to clients that is strategically sound and creatively excellent
  • Equally as adept at talking creative as strategy, in order to defend or build on ideas
  • Strong copywriting, presentation building and ability to take clients on the journey
  • Join client meetings to confidently present your work and implement feedback
  • Challenges clients to ensure the best possible outcomes
  • Knows when to parachute in relevant team members accordingly to ensure client needs are being met
Be a culture driver

  • Be a driving force for culture within the agency; share your knowledge of culture (youth culture, subculture, internet culture), trends and audiences to fuel culturally meaningful ideas and insights
  • Help cultivate an inclusive, collaborative and progressive environment to allow creativity to flourish at Havas Red
  • Help upskill the Havas Red team to create a wider culture of creative and strategic independence
  • Be a force for positive and approachable creativity, so all team members feel like they can contribute creatively
  • Bring ideas to the table that will push the creative team, the wider agency and our clients into tomorrow
  • Challenges rigid ways of working to ensure smarter and more effective working
