Payroll Manager - London, United Kingdom - Portfolio Payroll
Description
Our Local Government client is seeking a forward thinking, ambitious and customer centric Payroll Manager to join their team.The role will oversee a payroll team of four, leading in the payroll delivery for high volume employees across two boroughs.
Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Lead the team including 1:1s, appraisals, training and development
- Leading operational and strategic improvements of the payroll function
- Responsible for the implementation of a variety of corporate projects
- Offering an advisory service to senior managers and councillors on complex legislative issues, providing business intelligence to meet operational requirements.
- Identifying areas for improvement across the payroll function and system
- Operating the Oracle Fusion ERP system
Experience required:
- Strong people management experience at Payroll Manager level
- Experience within the public sector ideally local government
- Oracle Fusion experience is desirable
- Experience of system improvement and project work
