AGILE BUSINESS ANALYST
Role for the Agile Business Analyst
An opportunity exists to join a dynamic department and help drive transformation on their digital journey.
A key team member working on Agile software delivery projects utilising the Scrum framework, you, as the Business Analyst (BA), will be responsible for aiding delivery of high-quality work.
This will require influencing and negotiating skills as well as a willingness to work with all levels of the organisation.
Key skills or areas of responsibility for the Agile Business Analsyt include:
- Ability to work with the Agile tool, Azure DevOps (prior knowledge preferred) to create and track requirements and work delivery
- Business Analysis understand and breakdown of incoming requests through skilled analysis leading to defined user stories
- Process analysis review process designs, identify the weakness in them and determine the optimal means of fulfilling the desired outcomes
- Value Definition work collaboratively with the Product Owner, team members and stakeholder/executives to define and understand requirements and the value thereof
- Regulations, compliance and governance experience and knowledge
- User Stories writeup of requirements in User Story format
- Splitting of User Stories
- Lead on story mapping and story estimating sessions
- Requirements Structure grasp agile concepts and can explain the levels and relationships between epics, features, user stories and tasks
- Requirements definition succinctly and clearly translate conceptual requirements into a detailed series of requirements, reflecting the stated needs, that can be both developed and tested
- Backlog Management understand the concept of Product Backlogs and can manage them well, with the ability to explain comparative value
- Risk analysis adept at assessment an/d risk analysis in line with regulations/standards/requirements in development and future operations
Person Spec for Agile Business Analsyt:
- Facilitation
- diplomatically manage conversations with multiple stakeholders and drive conflicting views to a decisive and agreed way forward
- Relationship Management demonstrate an ability to translate technical needs into business terminology and vice versa
- Communication demonstrate adequate written and verbal ability, supported by comprehensive listening and interpretation skills
- Business acumen demonstrate a knowledge of the industry and understand the impact of process/requirements to ensure maximum valueadd
- Delivery demonstrate above average organisation skills and time management ensuring the ability to deliver outputs on time, to an acceptable level of quality
- Ideally good understanding of D36
- Azure in the Cloud
- Data Migration
