Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support various client engagements, including project finance, mergers and acquisitions, valuation analysis, and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather relevant data and assumptions, and translate them into robust financial models that align with client objectives and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the financial viability and risk profile of projects, investments, and transactions.
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations based on financial modeling outputs, including scenario analysis, investment appraisal, and performance optimisation.
- Communicate complex financial concepts and findings to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and through written reports and presentations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices in financial modeling techniques, and integrate relevant insights into client deliverables and methodologies.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance on financial modeling best practices, technical skills development, and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Qualified ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) with relevant practice experience, preferably in a Big 4 or reputable financial advisory firm.
- Proven experience in financial modeling, with a focus on energy, infrastructure, or environmental projects and transactions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Prior experience in a managerial or leadership role, with demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of financial professionals.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industryspecific dynamics within the energy, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.
