The client has an exciting opportunity for a
Yard Operative to join their team. This position is well-suited to a person who is ideally having
Yard Operative experience.

Responsibilities:

Reporting into the Logistics Supervisor, you will start the day assisting with the loading of the vans ready for delivery.
You are responsible for the safe operation and housekeeping of the external areas of the factory ensuring all incoming goods are dealt with promptly and safely and empty storage units are organised correctly and put away in an efficient manner.
To unload incoming vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
You are responsible for the daily maintenance of the site extraction equipment, including bag changing when required.
Ensure that the waste streams are processed correctly skips, bailing etc.
You are responsible for the daily FLT checks as and when they are required.
Any other reasonable tasks that you are requested to carry out.

Requirements:

To have ownership of all external areas, taking/unloading deliveries and to assist with the loading of company vehicles before they go out on their delivery runs.
Housekeeping and workplace organisation are paramount. You must be able to plan your day to coincide with expected deliveries and other tasks.
This role requires you to work outside in all weather conditions.
