My client in Coventry are looking for a Production Scheduler / Planner to work within the Production Department and reporting directly to the Master Scheduler.

The role holder will work closely with the production, stores, manufacturing and Assembly teams.


The job requires somebody who is full of energy and has knowledge of Manufacturing with the practical skill sets to support the day-to-day operations.


The Role
We are looking for a
Production Scheduler / Planner to organize production according to demand and quality standards. You will be the one to ensure our goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner.

The goal is to ensure the smooth and cost-efficient flow of our production operations.


We are looking for somebody with experience or somebody who is in Manufacturing and wants to take the next step in their career.


Duties/Responsibilities of a Production Scheduler

  • Planning the build plan for the facility against sales requirements
  • Communicating build plan across Stores, Manufacturing, Assembly and Sales Teams
  • Control the documentation used in production and stored within a document register to ensure that all required information is stores as appropriate
  • Manage the ERP system and update accordingly
  • Communicate with the business on performance and adherence to the production targets
  • Communicating to sales on completion activity on a regular basis as jobs progress against the build plan
  • Produce and control a build documentation register to capture and record: Build documents, Registration documents and inspection sheets to ensure all information is logged and stored appropriately.

What we are looking for:


  • Planning Experience in a Manufacturing & Production Environments
  • Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
  • Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
  • Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
  • Prepare and submit status and performance reports
  • Keep paperwork organized
  • Understanding of documentation
  • Competent with Microsoft Packages
  • Advantageous to have experience in D365 ( or similar ERP systems )
  • Ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders effectively

Salary - Up to £27k

Monday to Friday Monday to Thursday and on a Friday

£25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
