We require a dynamic and commercially minded team member to assist with the delivery of a number of different privacy and data protection engagements across a wide range of sectors.

They must be well presented, with the capacity to work on their own initiative, but also to actively contribute to the constant development of our wider team.

Progression through to being CIPP/E qualified with fully supported study. You will be a member of the International Association of Privacy Practitioners (IAPP).


Responsibilities & Duties include:


  • Assisting and then delivery of client engagements;
  • Assistance and then delivery of Data Protection audits and reviews;
  • Report writing;
  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met;
  • Assisting in managing, strengthening and developing client relationships;
  • Positively resolving challenges the team may encounter; and
  • Be an advocate for Bruce & Butler internally and externally;

Supported progression to the following responsibilities:

  • Fulfil the tasks of the designated role of DPO as defined by the UK GDPR.
  • Inform and advise organisations of their obligations.
  • Implement Bruce & Butler's processes and practices
  • Create and implement strategies to ensure compliance with data protections laws
  • Perform DPIAs and LI assessments and build/maintain the client's RoPA
  • Prepare recommendation reports
  • Devise, facilitate and deliver training and awareness workshops
  • Support the client in responding to individuals' rights requests
  • Consistently inform and advise the client on governance, accountability and risk
  • Keep up to date with changes in data protection law and regulations
  • Actively contribute to building the overall knowledge base of Bruce & Butler's team

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and work efficiently;
  • Commercial awareness;
  • Growth mindset;
  • Organised and structured and a proven problem solver;
  • Selfmotivated, driven to excellence and a keen eye for detail;
  • Track record of building client relationships that last;
  • Passionate about Privacy;
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products;
  • Ideally hold a full clean UK Driving License.

Salary:
£22,500.00-£27,000.00 per year
