About HMP Leyhill
HMP Leyhill is a Category D men's prison nestled in Tortworth, Gloucestershire.

As an adult male prison with Category D status, Leyhill is a hub for residents deemed suitable for Open conditions.

In partnership with Weston College, residents at Leyhill can engage in educational pursuits, ranging from English and math to IT.

Additionally, comprehensive vocational training equips individuals with valuable skills and qualifications in wood machining, printing, laundry, retail, kitchen operations, farming, gardening, and fitness.

Leyhill takes pride in its personalized approach, offering programs in personal development, social skills, and life management to assist residents nearing their release.

Qualified individuals may also benefit from temporary release licenses, enabling them to gain work experience, prepare for transition, or reconnect with their families.
