Description

My client is a busy and well established
medium sized residential developer who have just started a brand new development in East London.

They are looking for an experienced Materials Controller/Co-Ordinator on a temp to perm basis, starting in
June/July 2023. The scheme is
140 new build apartments, project completion date is Feb 2025.

Details of the role are as follows:

Current or previous experience as a materials controller / logistics background
Construction knowledge of materials that they will be scheduling, ie bricks, brickwork support, stone cills, timbers, doors etc is required.
IT literacy is essential, as the person will need to call off materials, produce trackers and produce and issue delivery logs/schedules to suppliers/subcontractors daily
Responsible for working closely with the Crane Supervisor, to produce daily lifting logs of materials arriving and scheduling in deliveries/lifts of the company materials, and those from subcontractors which will be booked in via the materials controller/coordinator
Working closely with the gate operatives to ensure deliveries are arriving on schedule, and diverted where necessary when out of sequence / schedule
Responsible for reviewing material deliveries, to ensure delivery tickets are signed correctly, and raised accordingly where damaged or missing goods are noted.
Responsible for calling off skip exchanges
Responsible for issuing out provided protection to subcontractors, and ensuring this is signed for and accounted for accordingly
Responsible for raising orders to the Project Manager for approval for welfare consumables
A proactive approach to health and safety, and ensuring site rules are adhered to at all times, in addition to maintaining site presentation required.
A must have approach to working as part of a team.
Saturdays may be required until 1pm.

£22 an hour CIS is available as well as PAYE if that would be preferable
