Role Type - Permanent
£30,962 - £36,426 DOE (Plus London Weighting of between £1352-£5382 dependent upon your location)

About the Role
To support commercial and cost management activities across our internal operations and / or collaborative operations with Contractors to ensure costs are managed, controlled and reported appropriately.
Key Accountabilities
Alongside the above you'll be responsible for:
- Supporting the provision of cost and commercial control across our operations
- Carrying out cost reporting to deliver comprehensive information on internal and / or Contractor performance and value
- Using contractual cost measures and targets for Contractor activities to conduct continuous forecasting and monitoring
- Ensuring costs are managed through reporting, communication and management processes
- Ensuring unit costs are managed through reporting, communication and management processes
- Auditing and investigating internal activities and / or Contractor activities when required in order to provide assurance and demonstrate that regulatory reporting is underpinned by effective cost control
- Ensuring payments and claims are within contract terms
- Providing challenge to claims for compensation events based on quantitative analysis
- Ensuring variations to budget are identified, reported and addressed / rectified
- Assessing the scope and nature of additional or oneoff work or variations
- Supporting the costing of works and / or challenging costings / price from Contractors
- Providing costing / pricing options based on scope parameters
- Supporting benchmarking activities to ensure Cadent's arrangements and Contractor costs remain competitive
About You
You will possess the following skills, knowledge and qualifications:
- Educated to Degree or equivalent in a commercial discipline and relevant commercial/contract experience (or equivalent level of experience)
- Knowledge of unit cost / commercial principles and methodologies
- Cost modelling skills
- Auditing skills
- Understanding of key commercial, regulatory and economic drivers
- Ability to interpret and analyse financial information
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and work collaboratively, engaging and developing valueadding relationships with a wide range of audiences at all levels (internal and external)
- A track record of delivering high quality outputs on time against demanding timescales
- Excellent team working skills, and a proactive approach to problem solving
