Bournemouth and Poole College now have an interesting new opening for a
Gas Assessor Trainer to join the team on a
full time, permanent basis.

In return, you will receive a competitive salary of
£32,800 to £34,850 per annum.

About the role:


Responsibilities as our Gas Assessor Trainer will include:

  • Supervision of learning programmes
  • Instruction, observation and assessment in workshops
  • Preparation of student portfolios
  • Assessing student work (internal assessments) to ensure students are progressing to meet the required standard
  • Engagement with Employers and attending site visits if required
  • Contribution to the development and growth of the provision offered
  • Championing latest developments in resources and technologies, eg sustainability
  • Internal quality assurance in line with the awarding organisation guidance with willingness to be lead IQA should this be requested
  • Track and record student data, progression and achievements
  • Support with the delivery of workshops, one to one instruction and or training sessions to aid student achievement
  • Carry out other tasks in line with grade and ability when reasonably requested

As our Gas Assessor Trainer, you'll
ideally have:

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
  • Approved Creditation Scheme Gas
  • Un vented hot water qualification
  • Gas fitter qualification or recognized aligned qualification
  • Extensive industry experience in Gas (no less than 10 years)
  • Current, evidencebased practice in field of expertise

Desirable:


  • Teaching qualification
  • Assessor Award
  • Internal quality assurance award or equivalent
  • Water regulations
  • Understanding of KCSIE and safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
  • Ability to be able to travel between sites
