Description

We are looking for an experienced Consultant in Haematology to work within our busy but exciting Clinical Support Services (CSS) directorate.

In return we can offer a relocation package and 10% recruitment and retention premia.


Our Haematology department provides a comprehensive clinical and laboratory service for the local population spanning 2 directorates;Clinical Haematology (part of Oncology Department) and Laboratory Haematology (part of Pathology Department).


Both Laboratory and Clinical services are provided at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow with outpatient services at Herts & Essex Hospital, Bishop's Stortford and St.

Margaret's Hospital, Epping.


The Haematology department at PAH is a Cancer Unit within the North London Cancer Network (NLCN) providing Level 2a Haemato-Oncology service.

The department has established strong links with the Haematology Department at the North Middlesex Hospital with which it forms a single Multi-Disciplinary Team.

This received a very positive report when it was last peer reviewed.


You will be expected to work with professional colleagues and local managers in the efficient running of services and will share with other practitioners in the medical contribution to management.

Subject to the provisions of the Terms and conditions of Service, you are expected to observe the Trust's agreed policies and procedures, drawn up in consultation with the profession on clinical matters, and to follow the standing orders and financial instructions of the Trust.

All medical and dental staff are expected to comply with appropriate health and safety policies.
