As part of the company's growth, we are seeking a self-motivated Trainee Financial Adviser to join our successful team. We employ approximately 40 members of staff including a team of 11 Financial Advisers.


This role would suit an experienced Paraplanner looking to step into an Adviser role, or a Diploma qualified individual looking to take their first step into Financial Services
.


We offer fee based, independent financial advice to private individuals and professional businesses.

Founded in 1987, Lewis Investment are a privately owned, Poole based firm of independent Financial Advisers, who are directly authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority ('FCA').


Lewis' have been providing independent financial advice to our clients, the majority of whom favour and benefit from ongoing and proactive guidance and advice from one of our experienced advisers.

We believe our unique common-sense proposition builds wealth for our clients using a combination of Preferred Funds and Commercial Property Investments.


We are the scheme strategist, sponsor and appointed Financial Adviser for The Lewis Workplace Pension Trust scheme providing in-house support to the participating employers and their employees.

The scheme is authorised by The Pensions Regulator and Master Trust Assurance accredited.


Summary Information:

Fulltime position, working hours are Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am to 5pm.

22 days holiday & bank holidays (rising to 26 days dependent upon length of service)

Duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Conducting reviews of clients' financial circumstances, current provisions and future aims

Analysing information and preparing recommendations best suited to individual clients' requirements

Keeping up to date with financial products and legislation

Ensuring technical knowledge is maintained and that CPD records are filed in accordance with compliance rules and procedures

Ensuring that service is delivered in line with the agreed fee / retainer / service level

Ensuring that internal systems are used effectively and accurately, and that client detail is recorded and kept up to date

Working to an agreed training plan combining a schedule of mandatory training programs and training tailored to your individual needs to enable you to progress towards achieving fully qualified and certificated adviser status

Skills and experience required:

Experience in a Financial Planning or Paraplanning role

Diploma in Financial Planning qualification or working towards (or equivalent)

A basic knowledge of Pension and Investment products

Experience liaising with clients and working within agreed timescales.
