Finance and Admin Officer
Nuneaton Gymnastic Club is a vibrant and welcoming club that has a proud history in the region. The club offers sessions for children in general and competitive gymnastics as well as preschool, adult and inclusion sessions. The club is affiliated to British Gymnastics. The club is Community Amateur Sports Club and operates on a 'not-for-profit' basis.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and experienced Finance and Admin Officer to support the work of the Club Manager.
There will be the requirement to attend some meetings and events as and when required (usually during a weekday evening or weekend).
You must be confident to work autonomously and have previous Finance and Admin experience as well good IT skills. Attention to detail, with a professional approach when handling confidential matters is a must.The role is varied from dealing with the day to day finances of the gymnastics club; bill paying, invoicing, members fee's to and forecasting and budgeting, becoming involved in various projects and assisting the Club Manager.
An understanding of the clubs ethos and principles or an interest to learn would be an advantage.Previous experience of dealing with membership fees, bill paying and invoices or similar is required. Full training and support will be provided.

Job Title:
Finance and Admin Officer - Permanent (3 months' probation period)
Salary:
£12.50 per hour
Hours: 15 hours per week
Location:
Home and/or Club based (depending on Club's requirements)
Reporting to:
Club Manager
Job Summary:
The overall purpose of this role is to support the Club Manager in their role to maintain Nuneaton Gymnastics Club 'Community Club' status and ethos.
These activities will be delegated by the Club Manager and are vital to help maintain the smooth running of the club.
Responsibilities:
- Paying bills, invoices on behalf of the club
- Issuing invoices
- Maintaining and keeping log of club financial transactions
- Managing club monthly fees
- Chasing late fee payments
- Sending notification messages to parents of gymnasts regarding fee changes, arrears etc.
- Updating Club's database/information systems
- Attending club AGM & Board of Trustees meetings and taking minutes
- Banking, some cash handling, processing of Gift Aid
- Forecasting
- Arranging annual content insurance
- Working on additional projects
Job Requirements:
- GCSE Maths & English or equivalent
- ECDL or equivalent experience, MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Access)
- Accounts experience
- Excellent proven communication skills
- Customer focused and organised
- Has an interest in the Club's Community ethos & desire to maintain high standards
- Working knowledge of Confidentiality/Data Protection issues
- Willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check
