Job Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and forward-thinking Talent and Performance Manager to join our team.
This is a newly created role which will ensure that Canada Life has a true culture of high performance and a strong pipeline of well-developedinternal successors who will deliver our strategic ambitions, live the Blueprint and are highly engaged.
You will also lead the development of the performance management ensuring it reflects best practice in what we do and how we do it and, through your influence, will champion the approach throughout the organisation to build a true culture of high-performance.
You'll will provide expert advice to the People Strategy Team and engage with Senior Leaders across the organisation to drive awareness, engagement and champion the benefits of effective talent management, career development and performance management.
Youwill be successful by using their influence and expertise in organisational development, talent and performance to help others adopt new ways of thinking on performance and talent, and work collaboratively with expert functions in the UK, Europe and Global.

Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills
- Specialist knowledge and experience in designing and implementing talent and performance practices
- Effective relationship and stakeholder management
- Influencing and communication skills both internally and with external suppliers
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to make decisions independently
- Experience of early career apprenticeship programmes
- Collaboration and partnership with other colleagues to cocreated solutions
- Experience coaching, mentoring and developing others
- Resilient, deals with ambiguity and able to operate under pressure and change
- Ability to work with a virtual team, with colleagues and stakeholders spread across multiple locations
