Description

We're looking for a motivated, resourceful and enthusiastic practitioner to join the Specialist Teaching Service to work with learners in homes and community settings.


The Role - Full time, term time only**We are looking for skilled mainstream practitioners with experience of successful working with pupils who have barriers to learning, in particular, Communication & Interaction difficulties, Autism, Demand Avoidance, Social, Emotional, Mental Health, Attachment Needs.


Key skills and requirements
An experienced Teaching Assistant, educated to the equivalent of NVQ level 3, you will also have

  • Proven recent success supporting children in a mainstream setting;
  • A knowledge and understanding of the barriers to learning faced by vulnerable pupils and how to facilitate independent learning and achievement;
  • The ability to be part of the 'team around the child', working flexibly, to develop and share creative and innovative approaches and use specialist skills to facilitate access and encourage independence.
