Construction Buyer


Duties:


  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to meet production needs and ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, pricing, and quality.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and payment terms.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, such as production planning, logistics, and inventory control, to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to identify opportunities for process improvement or cost savings.
  • Utilize ecommerce platforms or systems to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency.
Coordinating with the commercial team to accurately price all materials

Maintaining regular communication with the site team to address their needs and promptly resolve any issues that may arise


Experience:

Collaborating with the site team to ensure timely availability of all materials, minimizing any delays caused by material delivery.

  • Must know what Material is used on Construction Sites.
  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management roles.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory control, logistics, and supply chain principles.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Proficient in using ecommerce platforms or systems for procurement activities.
  • Familiarity with contract management and legal requirements related to purchasing agreements.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make datadriven decisions.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
