The Performance & Pay Communications Lead (12-month fixed term contract) will be a member of the Group Internal Communications team, with responsibility for contributing to and leading communications plans, projects, policies and campaigns that directly support HSBC's people agenda.


The Performance & Pay Communications Lead (12-month fixed term contract) is expected to have strong change communications skills, with the desire to constantly build new capabilities and enhance their knowledge.

They will need the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships quickly, and to coach and influence senior leaders and peers.

They will be expected to develop creative and compelling content and campaigns, and to develop innovative new communications channels and products.

They will also need the ability to develop and act upon measurement and employee insight. Finally, they should be comfortable with balancing the demands of multiple projects and deadlines at once.

In this role, you will:

  • Report to Senior Consultant, Group Strategy & Change Communications, leading the development and implementation of communications, plans and activities supporting HSBC's HR people strategy.
  • Partner with Group Head of Performance & Reward and their leadership team on communications to support the rollout of transformational change across the bank relating to high performance.
  • Develop programmespecific communications and artefacts, including communication to support capability and learning.
  • Develop materials and activations to support intraHR communications, working with the HR engagement team.
  • Working with central change and enablement team to provide input to central plans and factor outputs from people impact assessment into global comms planning.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Highly experienced communications professional with excellent internal communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Extensive experience delivering change communication in a global organisation is essential, and within financial services is desirable.
  • Experience of HR/people communications is desirable.
  • Uptodate with the latest change communications research, techniques and approaches.
The base location for this role is London/hybrid.
