JPL flavour technologies is a leading UK developer and manufacturer of flavourings. We offer a fast paced ever evolving workplace currently experiencing a period of rapid expansion.

JPL flavour technologies seeks an individual to work in our NPD (new product development) laboratories at our site in Neston Cheshire.

Key accountabilities of the role -

The assessment of our product portfolio and the effective recording of results from trials.
Assisting the other laboratories with trials on new products developed for our portfolio.
The creation of presentations to promote our products.
Recipe development to assist our expansive customer base.
Trend research across multiple categories such as sports nutrition, bakery, beverages, confectionery etc.
Provide support to sales staff through technical expertise and research.
Create and maintain databases with detailed information relating to our product portfolio.
Organise sensory evaluation sessions with staff. Collate information and create reports where necessary.
Use and maintain laboratory equipment to a high standard.

Job requirements -

A motivated selfstarter who is keen to learn and is adaptable to new ideas and ways of working.
Keen attention to detail is required.
Ability to keep to strict deadlines and prioritise work accordingly.
Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
Basic computer literacy is a must. (Word / Excel / PowerPoint etc)
Excellent communication skills.
Passionate about food and beverages.
Excellent team working and organizational skills a must.

Desirable skills -

Food science qualification or relevant experience.
Experience working within a sector we service (sports nutrition, bakery, beverages etc)
Applications technologists experience a bonus, although full training will be given.
Work experience in a food or beverage environment a plus.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
£22,000.00 per year
