The role Context for the Role**:
HR Advisor in Fidelis are the professionals who help align an organization's 'people strategy' with their 'business strategy.' They help Fidelis execute an HR strategy that supports their growth, performance and future objectives


Purpose of the Role:

To provide HR support the HR Leadership and employees based in a complex - fast paced, global business units.

The HRA will act in the following roles to varying degrees at different times according to business needs:

business partnering, administration and analytics expert, employee engagement champion, and change agent, providing operational advisory services related to the people agenda in order to deliver against the Fidelis objectives.

Areas of focus include but not limited to, providing HR services to colleagues across our global offices.

Our HR Advisors provide 1st line employee support; manage the full employee lifecycle; constantly strive to improve and automate our HR processes; and provide support to the HR Managers and Head of HR with strategic projects and employee relations matters.


Key accountabilities
These are the joint responsibilities of both HR Advisors.

Some tasks are collaborative whilst others may be assigned to a specific individual, albeit with cross over during periods of peak demand or absence.

Pre-employment activities: incl. Interviews and evaluation, due diligence & referencing

Engagement: incl. Contracts of employment, HRIS records set-up, payroll interface, work permits & visas, relocation and employee inductions

HR Operations Support: incl Workforce Management; grievance & disciplinary & appeals; holiday and sickness; Family friendly, work/life balance practices; HRIS/MI/reporting; Employment law advice; Comp and bens advice; Policy development and HR Calendar; Resolving issues for temps, associates, contractors and contract for services and Training and Development Needs/Tracking/Evaluation

Employee Engagement: Opinion surveys, employee forums, employee brand/experience, ESG and CSR, Work Councils

Exit: Exit interviews, Redundancy, Post Term Grievances, Compromise agreements, Non-compete cases, Tribunal case management


Skills & experience Required Experience**:


  • HR, CIPD, or relevant university degree;

years experience in HR in "Financial Services" with the last few years as a front office HRA/HR Officer in a multinational organization.


  • Would have ideally worked across countries/regions and lines of business
  • Prior experience in supporting dynamic teams at pace

Required Knowledge & Skills:


  • Ability to think independently and join up the dots across a complex, changing, matrix organization.
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to juggle multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills with an ability to be assertive yet build long, trusted partnerships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to coach, influence and negotiate with employees and package communications for a variety of audiences globally.
  • Good overall HR knowledge with an active interest in drawing on best practice and encouraging excellence.
  • Ability to collaborate and work across a large, diverse, and matrix organization.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguous and fluid situations.
