We are actively seeking a dedicated
Behaviour and Learning Support Mentor to join our dynamic and inclusive learning environment. Our commitment is to provide a supportive and enriching atmosphere for students, maximizing their academic success.

As a Behaviour and Learning Support Mentor, you will be instrumental in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.

The schedule for this role is **Monday to Friday 8:30am

3:30pm
and to commence ASAP**.

Due to working in a school, you will have
13 weeks holiday a year.

Your role will include:

Behavioural Support:

Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to foster positive student behaviour.
Providing oneonone or smallgroup interventions to address behavioural challenges.
Collaborating with teachers and support staff to develop and implement behaviour support plans.

Academic Support:

Assisting students with academic tasks and offering additional support as needed.
Working closely with teachers to adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual student needs.
Monitoring and recording student progress, collaborating with the teaching team to address learning gaps.

Emotional Support:

Building positive relationships with students to promote emotional wellbeing.
Providing a safe and nurturing environment for students to express themselves and develop social skills.
Recognizing and responding to the social and emotional needs of students.

Safeguarding:

Liaising with pastoral and safeguarding teams to address bullying concerns or negative behaviours.
Collaborating with outside agencies such as the police, local authorities, and care teams when necessary.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with students in an educational setting.
Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting academic and emotional development.
