BRC - Housing Assistant

LOCATION:
Gloucestershire and Swindon


SALARY:
£22,000-£23,000


DURATION:
Permanent


HOURS:
Mon to Fri


Purpose of role:

To provide an effective service to general needs customers in blocks of flats across Gloucestershire and Swindon.


Daily Duties:


  • Manage roughly 40 properties across the specified area.
  • Oversee repairs and planned works.
  • Assist residents with managing their tenancy.
  • Inspect properties during tenancy reviews and auditing.
  • Attend court and action the correct procedure wherever the situation requires it.
  • Conduct block inspections and report health and safety concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maximise income collection, effectively dealing with arrears.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide early intervention in creating solutions for your serviceusers.
  • Work with your serviceusers in ensuring they have a sustainable tenancy.
  • Minimise void rent loss, identifying financial losses on your designated patch.
  • Lead on budget management, deciding how your budget is allocated.
  • Work with contractors to develop services provided to customers.
  • Assist with voids and allocations process, completing property viewings and tenancy signups.
  • Resolve low level antisocial behaviour.
  • Refer customers to local authorities and thirdparty organisations accordingly in line with safeguarding legislation.
  • Promote our selfservice system online to reduce demand of frontline resources.
  • Support serviceusers in personal development, identify aspirations and personal goals and assisting them where you can to achieve them.
  • Advocate customers externally and internally.
  • Proactively encourage customer engagement.
  • Provide insight into neighbourhood level issues and aid the business in community improvement.

Essential Requirements:


  • Ability to manage your workload independently.
  • Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Experienced with Microsoft office tools and computer literate.
