Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is recruiting for a Senior Piping Designer for a minimum 6 month contract based in our Aberdeen Offices.
Contributing to the delivery of Engineering excellence through:
- Executing assigned scopes of work
- Supporting and supervising task delegation to team
- Providing discipline expertise to the business
- Coaching and mentoring as delegated
- Manage and supervise direct reports
- Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement
- Participate in audits and incident investigations as required
- Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development
- Provide discipline support to the business
- Ensure selfawareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports
- Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Minimum ISCED level 5 shortcycle tertiary education in engineering discipline
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- A full understanding of the materials and methods normally used in their discipline
- An understanding of related engineering principles and practices, plus training and diversified experience in the field of activity is required
- Capable of interpreting key documents including; engineering standards, piping material specifications, P&IDs and Line Lists
- Competent user of CAD/D software
- Must have valid or be willing to obtain offshore certification for occasional visits offshore
