Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is recruiting for a Senior Piping Designer for a minimum 6 month contract based in our Aberdeen Offices.

Contributing to the delivery of Engineering excellence through:

Executing assigned scopes of work
Supporting and supervising task delegation to team
Providing discipline expertise to the business
Coaching and mentoring as delegated
Manage and supervise direct reports
Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement
Participate in audits and incident investigations as required
Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development
Provide discipline support to the business
Ensure selfawareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports
Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Minimum ISCED level 5 shortcycle tertiary education in engineering discipline

Knowledge, skills and experience:

A full understanding of the materials and methods normally used in their discipline
An understanding of related engineering principles and practices, plus training and diversified experience in the field of activity is required
Capable of interpreting key documents including; engineering standards, piping material specifications, P&IDs and Line Lists
Competent user of CAD/D software
Must have valid or be willing to obtain offshore certification for occasional visits offshore
