Sweet is a growing company that works with over 200 schools and other educational establishments across the UK.

We design innovative and engaging resources for secondary school students and work with centres to ensure the successful delivery of our materials.

We are best known for our Personal Growth and Wellbeing (PGW) resource, which supports the delivery of BTEC Level 1 and 2 qualifications in Personal Growth and Wellbeing.

Our team is made up of several Internal Quality Assurers, a designer, an administrator, a Quality Manager and a Sales Manager.

Together, we produce resources, work with schools to ensure the successful delivery of the resources, and quality assure students' work to ensure that it meets our standards.


Job description


Sweet Education would love to find a passionate, motivated and confident individual to join our team as an Internal Quality Assurer.


The position involves the quality assurance of our bespoke suite of educational programmes and Sweet BTEC resources to centres and schools across Wales and parts of England.

A teaching or assessor qualification is essential, as well as an understanding and awareness of the education sector.


Role Summary


To conduct quality assurance activities for our bespoke suite of educational programmes and ensure that Sweet centres are supported to achieve ongoing high standards and outstanding results.


To deliver training and standardisation sessions both on and off site to stakeholders, ensuring that excellent standards of delivery and customer service are met.

To research, develop and quality assure educational resources to sit within our suite of qualification programmes.


To work effectively within Sweet Education's wider team to promote all company products to current and prospective customers in a positive and professional manner.

Refer potential new business to the Sales and Relations Manager for tracking and monitoring.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience of working within the education sector/setting
  • Holds a teaching or assessment qualification, e.g. Cava/A1/PTTLS/PGCE
  • Experience of writing engaging teaching and learning resources
  • Experience of working with a wide range of Microsoft software

Desirable Experience and Skills

  • Welsh Speaker
  • Previous experience of dealing with vocational qualifications, e.g. BTEC
  • Previous experience in Quality Assurance of learning programmes
  • Holds a PGCE or equivalent
  • Holds a Quality Assurance/IQA qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in programme design via relevant Awarding Organisations

Additional information
This position is field based. However, as some travel may be expected on occasions, the ability to travel is essential. The applicant should be based in South East Wales/South West England.
