Senior Health, Safety Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Consultant (Full or Part Time)
Location
Glasgow. Travel required across Scotland and UK.

HSE Solutions Ltd is a growing health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) consultancy that prides itself in providing a highly competent, professional service tailored specifically to clients' needs and requirements.
The Role
As a Consultant your primary responsibility will be to lead and encourage clients to improve their HSEQ performance.
You must be an enthusiastic leader who can motivate clients through your knowledge, personality and individual drive to deliver a positive outcome for all.
You must be able to deliver a complete range of HSEQ services including completing GAP analyses, the development and implementation of SSW, policies, procedures as well as providing expert advice, guidance, training, and drafting of risk assessments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosis, implementation and execution of health and safety
solutions for customer specific issues and needs. - Provision of generalist and specialist advice and guidance to clients.
- Creation/redesign of safe working procedures, safe systems of work, policies and safety plans to ensure compliance with legislation and company policies.
- Conducting, and advising on matters arising from, inspections, audits, Risk, Fire and COSHH assessments.
- Maintenance of accurate client records and H&S Management Systems.
- Development, design and delivery of training courses.
- Liaison with Health and Safety Executive, enforcement officers, local government, emergency services, etc., where necessary.
- Influencing key stakeholders on matters of health and safety to facilitate improvements and encourage compliance.
- Provision of a professional customer focused relationship between clients and HSE Solutions Ltd.
- Maintenance and improvement of personal knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, company policy and industry best practice.
Qualifications and Job Specific Skills
Essential
-
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent with at least 3 years professional managerial H&S experience of implementing and developing Occupational Health and Safety, Fire, Environmental or quality systems.
- Extensive risk assessment and health and safety auditing experience
- Strong relationship management, negotiation and problem solving skills
- Highly self motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision
- High degree of generalist health and safety knowledge
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels
- Good report writing skills and numeracy
- Excellent communication skills and command of English language
- Desire for continual learning to maintain and participate in Continuous Professional Development
- Holder of current UK driving licence and car owner
- Travel is required throughout Scotland and the UK including overnight stays on occasion.
- CMIOSH/MIIRSM qualified
- NEBOSH Diploma
- Consultancy Experience
- IEMA Qualified
- ISO 9001/ 14001/ 45001 auditor / experience
Job Types:

Part-time hours: 40 per week
Salary:
£37,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
