Description

We believe that everyone deserves a chance in life to become who they want to be regardless of their situation, and with the support and guidance from our dedicated team of staff with over two decades of knowledge, we believe we can achieve positive outcomes for all.

AMAT have been ever present in the homeless sector offering supported accommodation to the people in Kent, and are pleased to say we have not and would not furlough any staff during lockdowns due to the nature of the work we do, and the fact that we operate all year round. We are currently looking to recruit a Part Time (20 Hours per week) Evening Homeless Project Worker to join our amazing team.

The focus of this position is to ensure the continued smooth running of the project once the day staff have finished their shift.

This includes reception duties such as answering the phone and dealing with queries from service users and other agencies at our local Chatham office, carrying out late checks of our properties in Medway and Maidstone to ensure that our accommodation is safe and secure, dealing with any service user issues as they occur in a professional manner, recording and reporting incidents on AMAT's intranet system, maintaining the cleanliness of the office and surrounding streets, and potentially dealing with anti-social behaviour.

The hours for this position are 5.00pm - 9.00pm five days over seven, working every other weekend.

At AMAT, we are focused on delivering the best service we can to our service users, and operate a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year service in order to achieve this.

As such, you will be required to work bank holidays (including Christmas day and New Year's Day on a rota basis).

Therefore, flexibility is key to this role

  • 28 days annual leave, rising in increments to 33 days per year
  • A contributory workplace pension scheme, in which AMAT will contribute the equivalent of 3% of your pensionable salary
  • Comprehensive training package including both inhouse classroom and E-Learning courses, which have been tailored to develop the skills and knowledge needed to work at AMAT
  • Regular 12 weekly line management supervisions, and development focused annual appraisals
  • AMAT's Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is available to all staff
  • Access to an online employee financial wellbeing hub
  • Free tea/coffee for all staff
This is a very varied role, and if you are looking for a challenge and want to make a difference, we look forward to hearing from you
